Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Cafe de Coral's breakfast is very generous and inexpensive, costing only $35

Chrizelle “Chryzhpontaneous” Lumba Nual Edited 8 months ago

First meal at Cafe de Coral during my travel and honestly, I get why this place is a local staple. I went for a classic comfort spread: sunny-side-up eggs with sausage and toast, creamy scrambled eggs paired with a juicy pork chop topped with sauce, plus macaroni soup with ham on the side. Simple? Yes. Satisfying? Definitely. The eggs were cooked just right, the toast nicely crisp, and the pork chop had that familiar, hearty flavor that hits especially well after a long day of exploring. The macaroni soup was light, warm, and nostalgic, the kind of dish that feels like everyday comfort food for locals. What I loved most was how straightforward everything felt. No frills, no overthinking, just fast, filling, and comforting meals that locals actually eat. For a first-timer in Hong Kong, Cafe de Coral felt like an easy introduction to everyday Hong Kong dining culture, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when traveling. If you’re looking for something affordable, familiar, and comforting while navigating the city for the first time, this spot is worth trying. #CafeDeCoral #HongKongEats #HongKongFood #FirstTimeInHongKong #FoodieTravels #ComfortFood #BreakfastAllDay #LocalEats #

No recommended. They dont want to clean the tables. Couple elders just leave their meal here and the staffs dont want to clean the trays.

This particular branch of Cafe de Coral is quite busy due to its location in Mong Kok. It might be difficult to get a seat, so be prepared to share your table with a stranger. The chicken curry and fried rice were excellent value for me. Two large chicken pieces was very unexpected and generous!

Environment is good and proper, staff are friendly. The only issue, there was a cockcroach or something IN my meal when I was about to finishing up. The team immediately apologized and refunded my payment. However I still suffered an upset stomach the next day though it wasn't a severe one. This really needs to be looked into and improve.
