When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Spice levels at Thai, Vietnamese and other Asian restaurants can usually be adjusted, so say so when ordering.

Opening hours: daily, 19:00–24:00. It opens every day of the week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. There is no phone number yet; if the business has a website or social media page, try there, or use the Google Maps link on this page for the latest details.

Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

We arrived to the place as a group of 7 people, which was one too many for the staff to manage. So one of us had to become a waiter and take our orders. It has to be said that the place is extremely authentic. The staff only understand Thai and desperately try to sell you beer. If you have more than 5 friends, you may have to wait a lot, but at least you still have more than 5 friends. Overall 4/5, delicious Tom Yum and coconut curry.
