Unfortunately this whole section of the park appears to be a poorly maintained. The viewing cone is not open to the public and the foliage has become a little too overgrown. These historical remnants could be a solid attraction for the park if they were better looked after.

A piece of history. The entire park was formerly a British Army camp. The cannon at this location marks what use to be the shoreline before the TST area was enlarged. This cannon was actually found buried on the site when another dig was underway and put to this use.

This is a restored fortification tower and a historic knoll emplacement with an old cannon mounted. The area is a designated discovery playground area for children now. Some impressive Banyan trees on display and lots of shade in this area of the park.
