Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Langham Place is a stunning, modern, multilevel shopping complex right in the heart of Mong Kok. The futuristic architecture and the massive indoor escalators are definitely impressive to look at. However, this shopping centre gets intensely packed. We visited on a Monday, and it was still way too crowded inside. The combination of the heavy crowds and the unique spiral layout actually made me feel a bit dizzy while navigating the floors. On the plus side, there is a great variety of shopping options, from upscale retailers to trendy boutiques, along with a movie theater and plenty of standalone restaurants. That being said, the actual food court area felt surprisingly small for a mall of this scale. We ultimately didn't spend too much time here because it was a bit overwhelming, and we preferred walking around the vibrant open-air spots nearby in Mong Kok. It is worth a quick look for the design, but be prepared for major foot traffic!

Spectacular architecture. Vibrant atmosphere. Interesting assortment of stores. So many wonderful restaurants to choose from. You could spend all day here, and not notice time slipping away. There are many floors and a super long escalator, You will see a variety of people, from local businessmen to tourists and families with kids. It’s very close to many hotels and shopping areas in Mong Kok.

This mall is a delightful place to explore, offering multiple levels filled with a mix of unique boutiques and familiar brand stores. The variety of restaurants adds to the experience, making it easy to spend hours here without running out of options. One of the standout features is the escalator system, it’s designed in a way that feels both strategic and fun, unlike anything you’d typically see in other malls. For the best experience, I recommend starting at the very top level and making your way down. The circular passages allow you to wander past smaller shops as you descend, ensuring you don’t miss any hidden gems along the way. Overall, it’s a pleasant and thoughtfully designed shopping destination that’s well worth a visit.

This is one of the best shopping malls in Hong Kong with its iconic 45 metres long escalator transporting people up/down the ridiculously tall Grand Atrium. The upper floors features shops that appeal to young adults, like the Lego store, Namco gaming arcade and the very cool 80M Bus Model shop to name a few. There are also numerous cafes throughout, but the majority of the food outlets are on level 4. Level 4 also happens to be the area where exhibitions are regularly held, just to keep things fresh for everybody. The lower floors are lined with the usual chain stores, including the premium supermarket chain Market Place. The easiest way to get to Langham Place is via MTR, that has a tunnel opening onto the underground levels.

Oh my gosh, went to Rilakkuma Enchanted Wishes pop‑up store and was honestly over the moon! So much cute stuff they had. There were plushies, stationery, all sorts of little trinkets, and so many different phone straps, basically everything you could imagine. They were even giving out free collectible cards, which was such a lovely bonus. And the best part? Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma actually came out to walk around and greet everyone. They were absolutely adorable, properly cute beyond words. Seeing them in person just made the whole experience even more magical. If spend over a thousand they gave out special gifts if you hit that amount. The only downside was that you weren’t allowed to split the bill, which was a bit of a shame. They also had older items from previous collections, so it felt like a treasure hunt. Honestly, if you’re a Rilakkuma fan, you simply can’t miss it!
