Marias Flower Delivery Hong Kong 網上花店, a florist and gift shop in Wan Chai, is at 香港島灣仔告士打道88號. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.

It pays to compare prices before you buy and to check that the price shown includes everything. Octopus, credit cards, FPS and e-wallets work in most shops, though small ones may be cash only or set a minimum for cards; weekend and public-holiday afternoons are busiest, so weekday daytime is better for a relaxed browse. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and graduation season are the busiest times for florists, so order a few days ahead and confirm the delivery time.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Sat 09:00–17:00, Sun closed. That makes 6 working days a week. It is closed on Sundays, which is not unusual for a small shop, although malls and chain stores open all week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 3702 0855. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, mariasflower.com.

It has a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 43 reviews, a strong score that points to consistently positive experiences.

Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.
