Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

This is a beautiful, comfortable cafe! I love all the flowers, and all of the drinks I have had there have been enjoyable. This time I had a salted caramel latte, and they torched the caramel on the top to make a crispy cover. Very nice! More importantly, you can always find a seat, which is not a given in Wan Chai.

what an urban retreat with good choices of coffee. can avoid the hustle crowd at the street level.

A beautiful florist crossover between Marni and Gary quietly hiding at the 17th floor of Hopewell Centre. Came for a sip of coffee. Was told there was not much choices - they only served nutty Americano coffee and no fruity one available. Besides, a little cup of soya and/or whole milk on side will be on extra charge of HKD3. Staff were not that passionate and attentive when dealing with customers, answering customers’ questions and giving recommendations especially to the first timers. We then get our coffee and snack cravings fixed at Bow Coffee and APT in the same district.

Hidden away on the upper floors of Hopewell Center, this is an aesthetic flower shop slash cafe serving treats that are pleasing to the eyes and taste buds The lunch sets we got came with a sandwich of our choice, daily soup and 50% off all drink items. We got the grilled salmon and pumpkin one, which was delightfully delicious with the soft salmon and pumpkin puree contrasting the crispy lettuce and mushrooms for a mixture of flavors and textures. The daily vegetable soup was also very satisfying for a cold winter day As always, desserts are the highlight of every meal and we were fully blown away by the Sweet Dream The cloud-shaped confection comes in either white or blue (sold out when we visited) and is actually a raspberry and Greek yogurt mousse cake covered in a layer of marshmallow Although the outer layer was quite sweet (as expected), it went surprisingly well with the tartness of the spongy inner cake and buttery biscuit base Read more of our food reviews on IG at @little.miss.picky
