When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Was excited to go to this whole in the wall place. There are only three tables and barely any room so we held our backpacks while eating which is completely fine as I knew how big the space was before coming. The older lady is not friendly at all but the other younger lady was very kind. For the price I would go somewhere with AC. For two dishes and one coke it was HKD141. The chicken soup noodle definitely had MSG and didn’t have authentic natural flavors. I guess that’s why I see a lot of comments saying some dishes are salty. Also had pad krapow with pork. It was extremely spicy and good but didn’t taste the basil. For the high expectation it was sadly not satisfactory.

Dishes are better when you get there (late) in evening. I like to come here with their pad Kaprao (special order to be thai style without beans) occasionally at late night after some drinks 5555

Small hole in the wall place with limited seats. But great authentic Thai food. Love the raw prawns… the chili burns to lips, but it’s so good.

Welcome to authentic Thai street food served fresh. The restaurant has a wide variety menu but very limited seating. Very authentic feel about the place and cash only transactions. Parking is available nearby by meter or paid. The Thai ice tea is very good and satay service of chicken beef or kidney are cooked on the spot for you. Friendly service 7 days a week with very long opening hours. They do have takeaway but I don’t think they are linked to any home delivery but you can always drive past, park nearby and takeaway as the service is quite quick no matter what you order

Yummy Thai food in a hole in the wall type place. I actually loved the ambience despite it being a bit crowded and the cooking happening around us. Food came quickly and tasted good - spice was definitely less than expected of Thai food. Staff were friendly, spoke good English, but spoke Thai amongst themselves.
