When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Many Western restaurants offer weekday set lunches that cost less than dinner; mention any food allergies when ordering.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Sat 11:30–22:00, Sun closed. That makes 6 working days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2333 0186; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. Its website is rarerhk.com, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

At 4.2 out of 5 on Google (225 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Came across this cozy little restaurant on my way home from work to grab a bite - what was going to be a short visit turned into a lovely experience, specifically enhanced by the amazing service provided by both Jordan and Alina. The food itself (the Corn and the Napoleon) was absolutely delicious - my compliments to the chef! Will definitely come back here soon 😊

RaRe Restaurant 紅館 offers a cozy and stylish atmosphere, ideal for a relaxed afternoon or a casual catch-up with friends. The interior is bright with plenty of natural light, giving off a welcoming and modern vibe. I visited during the afternoon and enjoyed a coffee paired with their signature dessert. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, especially because of the comfortable environment and well-plated sweets. One of the highlights was the mango mille-feuille. The layers of puff pastry were crisp and light, and the fresh mango slices were sweet and juicy. It was finished with a touch of cream and dusted sugar, beautifully plated with fruits on the side—perfect for Instagram. The dessert not only looked great but also delivered in flavor and texture. It paired very well with the Americano I ordered, which had a smooth, balanced bitterness—just enough to complement the sweetness of the dessert. However, when it comes to the main dishes, I would say they were decent but not particularly memorable. The plating was visually appealing, but the flavor profile lacked depth and boldness. While it wasn’t bad, I expected more considering the presentation and the overall standard of the r

This was the jazziest restaurant and perfect for date nights. We started with most delicious appetisers and the fish brandade salad was so hearty and fresh while the beef tartare was a 10/10. We also had their wild mushroom soup which had the creamiest most earthy mushroom flavour. For mains, we tried their Tom Yum Chicken Breast Linguini which had the best blend of Thai flavours. And of course we also tried their signature Ginger Duck Leg which was so crispy and was seasoned to perfection. We obviously had to end with the most delicious Mango Mille Feuille.

Save this spot for your next date night! This is a total hidden gem offering affordable French fine dining, perfect for celebrating special occasions! They're doing 50% off their 6-course dinner set—just HKD699 for two! The service was efficient, and we left fully satisfied. Highlights included the mains, in which we got the Ginger Duck Leg and Yellow Chicken Ballotine, both bursting with flavor. Don't miss the delightful Strawberry Mille Feuille for dessert! To end our meal, we enjoyed a generous pot of sweet Fruit Tea and zesty Lemon Tea.

A Perfect Place for your Date Night This restaurant has a special promotion for a six course dinner for two that you don’t want to miss. We love the cozy interior of the restaurant, we literally lose track of time while enjoying our food. They first serve the classic bread and olive balsamic dressing. Bread is chewy and soft. For the first course we chose Parma Salad and Beef Wagyu Tartare. The Parma Ham Rocket Salad is well balanced. You get the saltiness from the parma ham, sourness from the red olives and a slight bitterness from the rocket (arugula). The beef tartare is so fresh and has a refreshing taste. At the base is the toasted bread that gives crunchiness. For the second course, you get the black truffle mushroom soup. It was so satisfying as they put a lot of the truffle. For the third course, we tried the sea shrimp linguine that is mind blowing. It may look simple but once you taste it, you can never get enough of it. Linguine is cooked al dente. The shrimp is crispy/crystal like. It’s aromatic from the garlic and there is a hint of spiciness from the chilli. Fourth course, we chose the red wine beef cheek. It’s extremely tender and melted in your mouth. It’s
