When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Solid 4 stars for the food alone.** If you are coming here strictly for a high-quality meal, you will leave satisfied. * **The Food:** Genuinely tasty. Their Cantonese BBQ Char Siu is upper-tier—perfectly roasted, tender, and has a great glaze. The signature flavors here are well-executed. * **The Service:** The staff can be a bit blunt and impolite, which is typical for busy local spots, but the service is incredibly quick. Your food arrives almost immediately.* **The Environment:** The dining area is quite noisy and has a noticeable oily smell, so it’s not a place to linger. Overall, the excellent food quality and fast pace easily outweigh the gruff service and loud atmosphere. Definitely worth it for a proper Siu Mei fix.

I understand now why the rating is not as high. The place is so small and there is no sufficient space between tables and we are forced to share tables with other people which is quite uncomfortable. The goose is ok but not special. The meat platter is also ok but not too special too. The claypots are not up to our expectation. So its ok but we might not consider to come back

Amazing food and a great dining experience! Everything we ordered was delicious. The flavors were rich, authentic, and memorable. The quality of the food definitely exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed our meal so much that we’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes.

Authentic HK Cantonese roasts. I came before the peak at 4.30pm or so. Staff were pretty polite. Goose leg, roast sucking piglet, and Cha siew was v v good. Pork rib thing and beer horfun was decent. Omg the milk tea was nicely strong and oh so creamy! Goose skin was slightly crispy and I love the goose fats. No gamey smell.. ooh so good.. The roast sucking piglet was so crispy and chasiew had the sweetness of honey without being coying and had a nice balance of fats. Taste is subjective but oh boy did I enjoy myself… 😋

Yung Kee Roast Goose restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui was our 1st restaurant we tried upon arriving in Hk. And it's a superb choice. The queue was long but it's rather quick. The service was quick and that's what matters most. No English speaking waitress, but we didn't mind. They have english menu, so we could just point out which dishes we want on the menu. We got to sit with other customers. The strange thing is that we had to sit next to each other and facing other customer on the same table. It's rather inconvenient for us. We used to share table with others, but we're sitting facing each other. Which was more comfortable than facing other people and their food, too. We ordered: Roast Goose and Roast Pork Belly Rice Salt and pepper pork chop rice Hongkong ice milk tea The food were delicious and flavorful. They're cooked to prefection. We were practically enjoying the meals while smiling at each others. The milk tea was divine! Not too thick & creamy but full in flavor. It brought back old memories, when we're in Uni, we liked to have Hongkong meals in Melbourne's Chinatown. These kinds of dish were the type of meal we were having back then. It's one of the best meal we had d
