About 石硤尾街休憩花園
石硤尾街休憩花園 is a park or outdoor spot in Sham Shui Po, at 石硤尾街. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
Parks, beaches and heritage sites are busiest on holiday afternoons, so go on a weekday or early in the morning for some quiet. Beaches run by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department have lifeguards during the swimming season, and you should not swim when they are off duty; some historic buildings are private or only partly open, so check visiting hours first. In summer, avoid hiking at midday, carry plenty of water and take extra care when the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force.
Google lists it as open 24 hours, seven days a week, though arrangements may change in a typhoon or other special circumstances, so call if it matters. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has. More information is on its website, lcsd.gov.hk.
At 3.8 out of 5 on Google (57 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

This is a nice convenient public place to sit down and relax when exploring the area. There are a number of benches and some exercise equipment. It is located right next to the road and not far from a number of public transport stops. It can be accessed via walk via the Sham Shui Po MTR station as well. There are a number of ethnic, mostly South Asian provision stores and restaurants nearby which are good for sourcing inexpensive ethnic food and ingredients.

That's very local and small. Not romantic at all. But that's where I met my date for the 1st time. We had a wonderful talk. Now we've been seeing each other more than 1 month. Hope it continues.
