Before hiring a contractor, describe the job clearly and ask for a written quotation listing the items, materials, timetable and payment stages; comparing two or three quotes is normal. For work in a flat, the building management office usually needs to be told and sets its own working hours, and the law restricts the use of powered equipment between 19:00 and 07:00 and on Sundays and public holidays. Laundries charge by the piece or by weight; check your ticket and the condition of items on collection.

Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

Super sketchy area. I would avoid this place. Middle aged men hanging, sitting around right outside the laundry mat. Not sure what they’re up to but they keep staring as if they are tying to protect something. When using the machines, they switch off to make sure someone has eyes on you. This place has all the signs of illegal activity.

it is convenient if you live in chungking mansion, this self help laundry shop is well established with many branches over hong kong, if you are interested in.using it, see the pictures showing how to use it and the price for washing and drying, best to eat something in the indian, halal or phillipino food restaurants inside the mansion while waiting for the clothes to finish washing/drying

Only 1 dryer and 2 washers are functioning well. 1 of the washers do not dispense washing powder. The note exchange is not working as well. Last but not least, after waiting for 30min for dryer to complete; the clothes turn out to be still as good as 30mim before. The experience was a terrible one

Surprised to find that there are still shops open on the way to the place, even at 1-3am. My security never felt threatened. We walked to the nearby 24hrs macs for some snacks while waiting. Word of advice: insert more coins for the dryer, 35 mins was not enough for us and we had to restart the dryer for another 30 mins.
