Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

I came across 𠽌𠽌 Syut Syut while wandering around Sham Shui Po looking for somewhere to cool down and spend a few hours on my laptop in the February heat. My first impression was how genuinely friendly everyone was. As I approached the entrance, someone kindly stepped forward to open the door for me. After checking that it was okay to stay and work on my laptop, I grabbed a seat by the door. The shop is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating inside and some outdoor tables as well. The outdoor area is fine when the weather is pleasant, though being on an industrial street means the view is mostly parked cars and trucks. The menu is quite creative. I ordered an Espresso Tonic and a Black Sesame Panna Cotta for $87. The panna cotta arrived quickly and was very smooth and tasty, with a rich milky flavour. Personally, I would have loved a slightly stronger, more bitter black sesame note, but I still happily finished it. The Espresso Tonic was beautifully presented, with the espresso layered neatly on top. When I took a sip, I caught a hint of lemongrass. Curious, I asked the staff and learned they had added their own twist to the drink. I used to dislike the aroma of lemongrass

The matcha latte was underwhelming, a bit watery and very mild taste of matcha :/ However the black pepper shrimp pasta well made, al dente and lots of shrimp and veggies. Overall 7/10.
