About Toy Street Hong Kong

Toy Street Hong Kong is listed under shopping malls in Wan Chai. The address is 香港島灣仔太原街海源中心. Below you will find what people usually look up before a visit: the exact location, contact details, opening hours and the Google rating.

It pays to compare prices before you buy and to check that the price shown includes everything. Octopus, credit cards, FPS and e-wallets work in most shops, though small ones may be cash only or set a minimum for cards; weekend and public-holiday afternoons are busiest, so weekday daytime is better for a relaxed browse. Mall websites and signs show car parks, toilets and information counters, and some offer parking discounts for shoppers.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 10:30–20:00. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has. Its website is m.discoverhongkong.com, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

It has a Google rating of 4.0 out of 5 from 39 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.

Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

It is a bit of a stretch to call this a "Toy Street", but you will find a cluster of 4-5 toy stores within this street market area. There are bigger clusters of toys/hobby stores in Kowloon.

Nice area to find some toys and collectibles. It's more collectibles it seems than toys. If you're looking for Takara, Tomy toys you will find small shops that sell plenty of cars, gunpla, figures, and bandai like toys. Not too many western toys except Lego but for those you should go to Toys r Us. Definitely makes me want to go back to Japan but was happy that the kids enjoyed the window browsing. It's a short walk.

Very much a local thing but some tourists find it. It's cheap but quality was good and service was better then lady market. Very friendly attendees.

Children’s heaven! Lotsa selection to choose from. Good to go around 4-6pm as it’s not too crowded.

The toy street itself is very enjoyable to wonder around... but they lack air conditioning... and the peoples in the shops tend to be rude and unwelcoming.
