Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Came here with a friend for a catch up 2 weeks ago. We made a reservation for around 1pm but it was pretty quiet when we arrived, but it may be best to still make a booking as it did get quite busy around 3pm. I ordered a pineapple tonkatsu curry omurice ($128 hkd) and upgraded to a ice matcha latte for $23. Also ordered a milk tea waffle ($128) afterwards for dessert. The meal comes with a soup and bread too. Soup and bread was not bad. Matcha latte was a bit too strong at first, could be because the matcha powder hasn't fully mixed yet or it really was strong, I did had to wait for the ice to melt a bit first before start drinking again. The main was very disappointing. First I wasnt expecting the curry sauce to be so little... The tonkatsu was quite dry. The egg was overcooked and although the rice was stir fried, couldn't really taste much flavour. Luckily there was a pineapple so eating with it makes it less dry. Their waffle was good. Clearly they specialise in dessert more than mains... Plus the quantity was way more than expected. Highly recommend to just come and eat the dessert and skip the main as I couldn't finish the whole dessert.

Visited during 林峯LF decorations filled the restaurant. Food wise it was alright. I liked the yinyang waffle as it is rare to find in HK. Prices for lunch / lunch menu is $100+ Some areas of the restaurant could be noisy. The restaurant interior actually has bad acoustics so it makes it a bit hard to chat if filled with people. Service is thoughtful, yet subtle. Staff are thoughtful in seating us, providing extra plates, providing guidance when needed (didnt need to ask). It would be more welcoming if the staff could have more smiles or appreciative words (like simple thank you for ordering). More or less they just do their job in an efficient way without extras. I think at this price point, if the restaurant want to improve, the above gesture from staff would be nice. Overall, the lunch experience was ok. We just visited for the LF 應援 event 🙏🏻 Appreciate allowing this to happen.

It was located in a building but the main entry was next to a glasses shop. The overall design was elegant from the door to the dining area, I felt like I was in the wonderland or maze as I may get lost if the staff didn't lead me to the dining area from the reception. I arrived there at 6 pm, only two or three tables were filled. I asked the staff about the peak period and he said it depends, so he suggested that I make a reservation if there is a group of friends, bringing pets and gathering including kids. They will make better arrangements based on the condition or avoid disappointment due to the private reservation that day. There were different seating designs for individuals, two people and a group of friends that were good for people who want somewhere quiet to enjoy time themselves or with partners or friends. The staff gave me a menu and helped me make an order. Since dinner can be made as a set ( salad or soup, a drink, or both) or a dish only, you need to read through the menu and ask the staff if you would like to understand more. I ordered Carbonara and flat white. The coffee came first and after 20 minutes the dish was ready. I really like the texture of spaghett

This really is a unique 2-D restaurant in wanchai with some tasty western food. The artwork is really well done with comfortable seating They have instagrammable desserts which also feature the 2-D art. Had the strawberry cake which was tasty as well as the mushroom one. For the other food we had the cheeseburger which was a solid choice but definitely recommend the spring chicken - what a big portion! Best to make a booking as it can get busy at dinner
