I arrived at 7:15 pm and the shop was closed - so beware that the 8pm closing time may not be accurate.

this shop is horrible. i got shrimps from them and it killed my discus fish. the lady is always rude. i hope they close down.

We went on a Sunday and the shopkeeper was probably having a bad day so service was so so，at least she let us checked out the fishes in peace. The fishes are kept in tiny tanks along with some dead or dying tank mates. There are baby Angels, mollies, guppies, platy, gold fishes, tiger barbs, plecos and even salt water fishes. Many tanks from 8L to 54L, lots of medicines and accessories. We bought a air pump at a reasonable price - no rip offs there. Some baby turtles which looked ok. This place is ok if you need some accessories. But if you are serious about getting some healthy and happy fishes then you have other choices besides Mongkok such as Gordon St at North Point, Shatin wet market and Taipo Tai Yuen market

This is a terrible aquarium shop with dirty tanks and disease-ridden tropical fish. The staff are consistently rude and unhelpful (I suspect it’s a family business). Unfortunately, there’s very few aquarium stores on HK island so I think this store knows it has a monopoly in the wan chai district. I’d recommend going to Ting Wo aquarium in Tin Hau instead or even the Tung Choi goldfish market.
