About 香港動植物公園溫室

香港動植物公園溫室, a park or outdoor spot in Central, Central and Western, is at 香港島中環雅賓利道. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.

Parks, beaches and heritage sites are busiest on holiday afternoons, so go on a weekday or early in the morning for some quiet. Beaches run by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department have lifeguards during the swimming season, and you should not swim when they are off duty; some historic buildings are private or only partly open, so check visiting hours first. In summer, avoid hiking at midday, carry plenty of water and take extra care when the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 09:00–16:30. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2530 0154. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. Its website is hkzbg.gov.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

Customers give it an average of 4.3 out of 5 on Google (635 reviews), a high score by any measure.

Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

Keeping orangutans and other primates confined to small, iron, plantless cages for decades is incredibly cruel. The oldest orangutans have been kept in these cages for 42 years. They clearly express severe boredom and constantly reach through the bars to try and touch the plants outside. Management needs to take immediate action to enrich their environment or coordinate their release to an overseas sanctuary."

We decided to walk down from Victoria Peak and stumbled upon this MIRACLE. Thank you to everyone who created this beauty ❤️ I don't understand why it's free. Giant enclosures with different animals and birds, everything is beautiful and tidy, a small botanical garden, lots of different statues, and a giant fountain! This is now my favorite park, I feel like I'm in heaven 🧎‍♀️‍➡️

Hong Kong Zoological Park is a delightful green escape in the heart of the city, offering free entry to all visitors. The park is beautifully landscaped, with well-maintained pathways, lush gardens, and a peaceful atmosphere. It houses a variety of birds and animals, making it an enjoyable spot for families and nature lovers alike. The tall, mature trees provide ample shade and add to the natural charm of the place. It’s perfect for a relaxing walk, photography, or simply spending time amidst nature. Overall, a serene and refreshing destination that combines wildlife, greenery, and accessibility wonderfully.

Between Hong Kong Park and the Mid-Level Escalators is this jem of a park. The first thing we saw when entering from the South was an arch dedicated to the Chinese who fought with the Allies during both world wars. My wife is from Shanghai, and this honor set the stage for our great experience here. This park has pretty green areas, lots of birds, a well-placed ice cream cart, cranes, pheasants, and a few otters. For a place that was between locations we wanted to visit, we wound up staying here over an hour, and wanted to stay longer. Definitely worth a visit.

Coming from the U.S., I'm low key kind of amazed at the parks and activities that are available at no charge in Hong Kong. The zoo is no exception. It's very hilly so come rested. The animals and flowers even now in January are impressive. There is lots to see.
