Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

Full-time students can get a 50% discount. otherwise, I think the ticket price is still a bit high. There are different special exhibitions every year, which is very interesting. As for the other permanent exhibition halls, if you've been to Beijing or plan to visit the Forbidden City, I don't think it's necessary to visit them. I mean, it's optional, but not mandatory, since the exhibits all come from Beijing. Furthermore, even with such a high ticket price, the museum doesn't use low-reflection glass. You can see the reflections on the glass. I personally believe the Shanghai Museum has the best glass in China, and if you plan to visit Shanghai, be sure to visit it—it's free.

Spend about five happy hours here. All fantastic exhibits with the Heavenly Horses and Ancient Egypt Unveiled being my favourites. I do wonder about visitor decorum… There were SO many finger print and face marks on the display glass. Even worse, some parents with children started touching some of the artifacts. Where‘s security?! The desk for the audio guide is particularly out of the way and the second gallery was unfortunately closed.

A fascinating museum about the history of the forbidden city in China. There are a lot of historical artefacts inside and many things to learn about the history of the royalty. It was really interesting! During our visit there was also an exhibition about ancient Egypt with some objets that were coming from Luxor and Cairo. It was also great! Plus the museum is modern and the staff is really kind. There is also a viewing platform to see the waterfront which is gorgeous. Definitely a must do if you visit Hong Kong

Visited the "Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums" at HKPM. The exhibition was beautifully curated, with impressive collection of artifacts. Genuinely reignited my curiosity and passion for Egyptology. Highly recommended for anyone with even a slight interest in learning more about the ancient civilization.

Instead of flying to Beijing, you get to see these incredible, priceless treasures and imperial artifacts from the Forbidden City right here. The architecture is a beautiful mix of traditional and modern, and everything is laid out so well. It gets pretty busy, but looking at ancient gold and calligraphy with the harbor in the background is a surreal experience. Definitely worth grabbing a ticket ahead of time! 🇭🇰📜 👇
