Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

One of the best museums in Hong Kong in my personal experience. The Hong Kong Exhibition was so unique with various exhibits. I walked through the exhibition for more than 1.5 hours and could barely finish the entire museum since I took too long at the HK exhibition. I also got the chance to try a keychain workshop at the museum, which was free and had so much fun during the workshop ✨

This is hands down one of the best free things to do in Hong Kong! The museum reopened with a brand-new, refreshed look for its "Hong Kong Story" exhibition, and they did a fantastic job. Instead of just reading boring text on walls, you get to walk through incredibly cool, life-sized recreations of old Hong Kong. Stepping onto the 1930s street with the vintage double-decker tram and exploring the retro 1970s public housing apartment felt like actual time travel—it is perfect for photos! It's completely free to enter, right next to the Science Museum, and is a great way to escape the heat or rain for a few hours. Budget at least 2 or 3 hours to see everything. Don't skip this if you're visiting Tsim Sha Tsui!

Spent two hours in here reading every exhibit and really enjoyed the interactive exhibits. A very memorable place if you have spent at least 20 years living in Hong Kong and seen the changes. Go to Paisanos pizza afterwards for a Gidfsther Pizza slice

I had a lot of fun at the museum, besides being nearly run over by an MTR train and a car from the 50's, I found the history of Hong Kong fascinating. It wasn't my first visit and I hope not my last. Hong Kong history has fascinated me a long time and nice to be a part of the history of HK. Visit it, it's free. Closed on Tuesday's

The exhibition was very well presented and maintained, with some good information on the history of Hong Kong, from the Chinese government's perspective. I was particularly impressed by the information on the many migrant groups that brought their traditions along and contributed to the collective culture of Hong Kong people. That very last room with the panoramic view was really well done. Overall, it was a very educational exhibition with exhibits that would entertain both adults and children.
