Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

Very well done mega interactive museum, especially interesting for kids but also for adults. The entrance fee of 20hkd is almost nothing and very cheap. All payment options are available.

We went on free admission Wednesday and that must be same day schools plan field trips because between the Science and History museums there must have been 6 to 8 different groups of various age school children. I would say this added a layer to the experience rather than detracted, but it did lead to a bit of crowding at times. Seeing so many children taking in the culture was wonderful though! Definitely worth seeing while we were here.

I had a wonderful time visiting the Hong Kong Science Museum. It is an amazing place for families, children, and even adults who enjoy interactive learning and science activities. The museum has many hands-on exhibitions that make science fun and easy to understand for all ages. One of the highlights was the moving dinosaur display, which looked incredibly realistic and exciting. Kids were fascinated by the dinosaur movements and sounds. Another favorite area was the illusion and mirror zone, where visitors can enjoy creative visual effects and take many fun photos. It was entertaining and educational at the same time. The museum is spacious, clean, and well organized, with many activities that keep children engaged for hours. Staff members were also friendly and helpful. Overall, it is one of the best attractions in Hong Kong for families and definitely worth visiting.

Very fun and interesting place for both adults and kids. There's a children's gallery on the top floor where kids are allowed to explore and discover by play. Every floor has different topics which are very interesting with interactive learning. From dinosaurs to space and the future. We easily spent 3 hours in the museum. Highly recommend to go!

Adult ticket $20. The museum has 4 storeys in total. The top floor is the children’s educational playground, and honestly that was the highlight of the whole place lol. Lots of hands-on activities for kids, so they can play while learning. The second and third floors were okay, but the earthquake simulation stood out. It lets you experience what an earthquake feels like, which was quite interesting. On the ground floor, the main thing that caught attention was the dinosaur display, which the kids liked. There’s also a huge ball machine that runs through all four storeys. It’s basically a giant kinetic system where metal balls travel through tracks, ramps, loops and mechanisms across the building. It only starts running at certain times, so if you’re lucky you’ll get to see the whole thing in action. Overall a great experience, especially if you’re visiting with children.
