Just spent four nights at the Dorsett hotel in Mongkok and overall we had a really good experience. This is our first stay at a Dorsett hotel, we have one in London which is only a short walk from where I live so we were intrigued with how it would be. On arrival, staff were friendly and check in process was smooth. Common areas were clean and the air con was a lovely escape from the Hong Kong heat. We really loved the location, close to the MTR and really cool coffee shops nearby. I saw that the hotel offered free transfers to areas nearby but this wasn’t needed for us. I liked that there was a lounge for guests. We used this to wash our clothes as there were self laundry services, we also saw that there was a free wine reception but sadly we missed this! The bed was comfortable and the room included what you would need for a short stay. The only thing I would say is that the room was incredibly small, I appreciate this is Hong Kong so this is standard here. However, I feel like the room could do with some TLC as some of the fittings and bathroom were in a poor state for a 4 star hotel. Overall - great experience and I would recommend 😊

Location is perfect, surronded by many small restaurants until the late night. There is a free shuttle bus which helps us a lot. Lobby is always clean, the staff even cleans the seat on regular basis. Breakfast staffs are nice, I love the porridge a lot, and somehow the coffee tastes good as well. Room is okay since it is not that big, but they are clean. Front desk staff gives such a cute keychain to my daughter as well.

Great room layout for a family of four, including all of the amenities one could want. The two twin beds for the kids and the separate master bedroom made everything very comfortable. Spacious bathroom. The front desk and concierge service was friendly and accommodating. Appreciated the complimentary umbrellas during the rainy season. The breakfast was amazing, well worth paying for! A variety of options, pastries, great hot food including some typical dim sum offerings and congee.

The hotel is genuinely lovely and its location is a major highlight. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to Mong Kok Station and even closer to Olympic Station, so you’re conveniently positioned between both. Despite being in such a central area, the neighbourhood itself is quiet, you don’t hear any traffic noise from the room. Step outside though and you’ll find plenty of eateries and small spots to explore, so you definitely won’t go hungry. The room was clean, reasonably sized by Hong Kong standards and although the furniture is a bit dated, everything is well maintained and spotless. The hotel also offers useful facilities like a gym and a laundry room; I used the laundry room and found it easy and pleasant to use. The staff were excellent and friendly, welcoming and always ready to help. The hotel also provides a complimentary hourly shuttle service to several nearby areas, ending at Kowloon Station where you can catch the AirPort Express. It’s first come, first served, but still a great perk. Overall, I’d happily stay here again the next time I’m in the area.
