Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

A hidden gem in Hong Kong and best of all, it's free! The Hans exhibition was fascinating, well-curated, and very informative, offering a great insight into history and heritage. We also loved the dinosaur exhibits, which were fun and engaging for both adults and children. The displays were thoughtfully presented, making it an enjoyable and educational visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Hong Kong's history without spending a cent!

Small and informative. Free visit that can be completed in 1 to 2 hours. Don’t miss the tree collection in front of the main building. Good collection of archeological finds and some unique pieces.

It was a good experience here. Artefacts on display were unique and beautiful and they do take back in times. China definitely has a very artistic history and culturally strong. This centre had displayed things very nicely like 7000 broken pieces of Chinese crockery were displayed of floor in a very unique style. Also one gets to create a post card by self stamping at 4 different corners within the centre. Nice activity. Staff was very helpful and we got a free souvenir from them after submitting a feedback form.

The Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre is a really impressive museum situated inside Kowloon Park. It’s free to enter. The well curated exhibits take you on a journey through Hong Kong’s urban history. The exhibits highlight the different Chinese and Western building styles. Through pictures, models and some very well made short videos you get a really sense of how and why Hong Kong’s urban landscape developed the way it did. This is a MUST-VISIT spot for anyone with more than a passing interest in history, urban development or architecture.
