Small eatery that truck in a small alley at TST. Overall food is good and not too salty like other beef brisket shop. Ingredients are chopped at right size so can taste all flavor in one bite. And the shedded duck rice roll is quite special which is worth to try.

A small shop near the hotel. On the outside it certainly doesn’t look like an attractive place. But the food is really nice. The wan tan mee was good, yummy. Mee was springy and wan tan fresh and nice. Fishball soup with rice was my favourite The 炸两 was yummy too. Had a really satisfying meal. Shop was a bit small so the seats are a bit near to each other. I guess that’s the problem with most eateries in Hong Kong. Verdict: really would recommend this place if you are staying nearby.

#新大光燈 this place name is not about food. its about a big light. i dunno why. after google, their boss used to be a hawker in street. congee about 37$ its expensive, i order minced beef + black egg 7$. total 44$ for congee is not enuf to feed me. but taste were good. they used real beef instead of fried noodle beef. portion is a bit small i order chasiu intestine powder. the skin is thin and transparent. inside with so many chasiu. very good but cost me 33$. my overall lunch is expensive 77$. but taste good. will be back. ig: thunder5dicks #food #hkfood #hongkongfood #台灣美食 #ukfood #ausfood #馬保國 #香港美食 #thunder5dicks #閃電五連鞭

A small traditional HK noodle neighborhood restaurant. The people working are friendly and service is fast. The menu is also in English with pictures so it’s very helpful. Inside seating is small and limited but that adds to the charm. Got the beef noodle soup and the wonton noodle soup. Both the broths tasted very flavorful. The thin egg noodle was chewy and not too soft. The beef melted in your mouth. The wontons were filled with shrimp and very delicious. If I lived in HK I would come here regularly.

My visit to the New Big Light on Mody Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, was nothing short of a gastronomic delight. The menu is a well-curated selection of local favorites, and it is clear that the chef respects tradition while also being unafraid to put a modern twist on classic dishes. The roast duck was another standout, perfectly cooked with a balance of crispiness and tenderness, and the accompanying plum sauce added a perfect tangy sweetness. The service, just like the food, was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of. They were more than happy to make recommendations and explain the dishes. But perhaps the highlight of the New Big Light experience was the value. W
