Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

One of the best meals I had in Hong Kong. The beef brisket and tendon were incredibly tender, and the rich, flavorful broth was perfect for a comforting meal. The bamboo noodles had a wonderful texture, and the Hong You wontons were juicy with just the right amount of spice. The service was friendly, and the food was served quickly. If you’re looking for authentic Hong Kong noodles, I highly recommend this place.

Dropped by Chee Kei after a facial in Tsim Sha Tsui. The beef brisket tendon & shrimp wonton combo lo mein was very satisfying — generous portion, tender brisket full of flavour, and bouncy wontons. Added thick noodles and extra portion. Also tried the fried dace fish balls which were crispy and tasty. Solid, comforting Hong Kong-style meal in the area.

Chee Kei is one of the reliable places to enjoy Hong Kong-style noodles and wontons. The restaurant was very busy when I visited, especially during meal time, but the service was organized and the waiting time was surprisingly short. The fried wontons were crispy and delicious, with a tasty filling inside that matched well with the dipping sauce. Their noodle soup was also very good. The noodles had a nice texture, and the broth was flavorful without being too heavy. Portions were satisfying and suitable for a quick meal while exploring Hong Kong. Even though the restaurant was crowded, the staff worked efficiently and customers were seated quickly. Overall, Chee Kei is a great choice for anyone looking for tasty wontons and noodles in a lively Hong Kong atmosphere. I would happily visit again on my next trip.

For dinner on my first night in Hong Kong, I chose Chee Kei, a well-known noodle spot. Since we were both in the mood for beef noodles, we ordered a couple of dishes to share: * Dry Braised Beef Noodles – This was the highlight. The noodles were great, and the beef was tender and well-braised. The dish also came with stewed radish, plus a separate bowl of soup on the side. Everything worked really well together. * Boiled Chinese Kale – I initially expected blanched kale with oyster sauce, but it turned out to be simply boiled greens. That was my misunderstanding, as the menu/photo already showed it clearly. * Fried Fish Balls – Crispy on the outside, chewy and soft inside, with good seasoning overall. Unfortunately, one of them had quite a lot of fish bones, which took away from the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed the braised beef noodles—they were well-balanced and especially good with chili oil, which added an extra layer of heat and flavor. The vegetables were more of a personal expectation mismatch, and while the fish balls were generally good, that one piece with bones was a bit of a letdown.

I visited Chee Kei during my time in Tsim Sha Tsui and had a really pleasant experience. I ordered their wonton soup meal, along with a barley drink with ginger and a mushroom soup. The wontons were nice and plump with prawn filling, and the noodles had a good firm texture. What stood out the most was the soup broth — it was very flavourful, light but rich at the same time, which made the whole bowl really comforting. The barley and ginger drink was refreshing and something a bit different from the usual drinks. Their service was fast as well as i was served quickly and the que was not long. Totaling to 108hkd, thats not bad. One thing I noticed was the service. I had read some reviews online saying the waiters could be rude, but that wasn’t the case during my visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when they accidentally took the wrong order. They handled it politely and made sure everything was sorted out.Overall, it was a simple but satisfying meal, and I’d happily come back again if I’m around the area.
