It pays to compare prices before you buy and to check that the price shown includes everything. Octopus, credit cards, FPS and e-wallets work in most shops, though small ones may be cash only or set a minimum for cards; weekend and public-holiday afternoons are busiest, so weekday daytime is better for a relaxed browse. Google lists the opening hours as daily, 09:00–17:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2199 7923; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Bank Centre Mall is a convenient spot for shopping and dining, especially if you're in the area. I found the La Viet restaurant to be a great place to relax after browsing the shops—it serves authentic Vietnamese dishes with a modern twist, and the value for money is excellent. The mall itself is small and quiet compared to the bustling streets outside, making it a nice place to take a break. However, it’s worth noting that many small shops have closed due to the pandemic, which has affected the overall vibe. The upper floors are well-known for housing numerous travel agencies, which is a big draw for visitors. While the mall doesn’t have a clear focus and the selection of shops is limited, it’s still a handy location, especially for those looking to book travel deals or enjoy a quick meal. The proximity to Mongkok MTR station is a plus, though it can get quite crowded. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a quick stop, but don’t expect a wide variety of shopping options.

A shopping mall at a prime location but without a focus.

We had lunch at the La Viet restaurant. It serves Vietnam dishes in a modern trendy style without compromising the indigenous taste. Good value for money and a handy place to eat and relax after shopping in that area.

Is weird because you can find really expensive peaces of clothing in outlets inside, like Moschino and things like that, but also really cheap sale sneakers. There are also a lot of places to eat and drink inside. Really interesting place.
