Hong Kong has plenty of street snacks and budget eateries, with prices shown on the menu or price board and usually no service charge. Google lists the opening hours as daily, 11:00–21:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

The Siu Mai here lacked that juicy, tender snap, instead, it was dry and aggressively chewy, tasting suspiciously like a lazy microwave job.

Wing Nin Noodles is one of the more popular names when it comes to Hong Kong cart noodles, and after trying it, I can see why. The soup was fantastic. Really delicious, rich, and full of flavour without being overly heavy. That base alone carries the whole bowl. The ingredients were all well marinated too, which makes a big difference with cart noodles. Nothing tasted lazy or under-seasoned. I went with the pig’s blood, pig intestine, and pig skin combo, and it was a great mix. Proper texture on each item, especially the intestine and skin, which can easily go wrong if not handled well. Here, it worked. The noodles themselves were okay, though slightly on the softer side for my liking. I personally prefer a bit more bite, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The space is very small, especially during busy lunch hours. Seating is limited and it can feel cramped. That said, the air conditioning keeps the place surprisingly cold and comfortable, which I appreciated. In Hong Kong humidity, that matters. Service was prompt and efficient. Orders taken quickly, food came out fast, no unnecessary waiting around. Overall, Wing Nin does solid cart noodles with a standout soup and well-prepare

2026 Mar. Back again at this place when I visited HK. Tried the dried shrimp sauce veg dish; okay. Prefer the "cart noodle" with ingredients only, minus the noodles. They had less fatty pig intestines - nice! Curry sauce was great. Pig blood cubes were great too. A huge plus - clean and nice environment. Ice lemon tea, milk tea and even the bottled oolong tea - all are very good. ------ 2025 Aug. Loved the food and ambience at this legendary HK cart noodles place. They take pride in the wide variety of food options you can pair your cart noodles with (soup or dry). The spicy sauce is very spicy, beware! We got it served on the side (just add $3) on our second visit (to enjoy the spicy kick and still allowed us to moderate the taste). Our favs: pig's trio - pig intestines, blood, skin; and radish, mushrooms. The milk tea and matcha red bean iced drink are a sweet ending to a delicious meal. The place is also hygienic and clean, making it a pleasure to enjoy your meal in comfortable functional seating. Well done, team Wing Nin!
