Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Always my go-to thai eatery in the neighborhood. When Pad Kaprao Nuea (Beef) over rice comes with Phet Phet (more spicy) and without beans, aroi jing jing 🔥 Sometimes I would go for Kaprao Kung (Shrimp), which is not that common able to do it HK thai eatery (well, it’s common to do in Thailand for sure) . It’s also nice. Thai boat noodles, or Dry noodles are also very nice here.

A Little Slice of Thailand Hidden in Wan Chai Don't let the narrow storefront fool you—this tiny gem comfortably fit our family and delivered one of the most authentic Thai meals we've had in Hong Kong. The moment we walked in and heard the staff speaking Thai, we knew we were in good hands. The service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive from start to finish. Highlights from our table: Pomelo salad was so refreshing and delicious. Wive gave it two thumbs up! Crab Omelet – flavorful with the dip and worth ordering every time. Hainan Chicken with Hainan Rice – simple, comforting, and perfectly executed. Satay with Peanut Sauce – our kids practically fought over this one. 🍲 Tom Yum Soup – bright, fragrant, and packed with flavor. 🥥 Fresh Coconut Water & Smoothies – refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal. 🍹 Bonus points for cocktails and beer if the adults need a little vacation too. What we loved most was that nothing felt fancy or pretentious—just delicious, authentic Thai food served by people who clearly care about their customers and their cooking. As a family with kids, finding a place that's authentic, kid-friendly, and genuinely enjoyable for adult

Amazing food! Staffs are very welcoming and attentive. The Thai pork salad is just exactly the same as what I had in Thailand. Very good price and the owner Anne said they are going to have happy hour Thai special drink menu very soon. I will definitely come back for both of the food and drinks. Highly recommended!!

My ah jeh discovered this rather new Thai resto in Wan Chai on OpenRice, and we decided to have lunch there. . I ordered Hainanese Chicken Rice (HKD70). The chicken was neatly sliced and placed beside a mound of fragrant oil rice. It was tender with attractive golden skin, and the dark soy sauce added a savoury touch. The oil rice was not sticky. The accompanying soup with winter melon was slightly salty. She ordered Pad Thai with Shrimp (HKD70). Served on a striking blue plate, the noodles were glossy and well‑tossed with shrimp, tofu, bean sprouts, peanuts and chili flakes. The shrimps were large, the Pad Thai had great wok hei, and the chili flakes were quite spicy. . The resto is not too big and featured some Thai-related posters and decorations.
