Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.

When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.

Opening hours: daily, 12:00–15:30 and 17:30–22:00. It is open seven days a week. Lunch and dinner are served in separate sessions with a break in between. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2110 0575. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.

At 4.1 out of 5 on Google (253 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

An Exercise in Overpriced Mediocrity and Hostile Hospitality While I am fundamentally more than willing to pay a premium for an exceptional culinary experience, my recent visit to City Shawn Haus was a profound and entirely avoidable disappointment. To address the gastronomic aspect first: the food is decidedly pedestrian. Served in remarkably ungenerous portions, the dishes fail to leave any positive impression, rendering the entire menu egregiously overpriced. It is a masterclass in charging exorbitant fees for stark mediocrity. However, the absolute nadir of the evening was the unequivocally abysmal service. The waitstaff exhibited a demeanor that was not merely unprofessional, but actively condescending and presumptuous. Rather than basic hospitality, one is subjected to a patronizing attitude that fosters a pervasive sense of discomfort throughout the meal. Furthermore, there was a distinct, inescapable impression that European patrons are fundamentally unwelcome in this establishment. In conclusion, this was a thoroughly regrettable endeavor that I would have gladly spared myself. If you value a respectful atmosphere, professional service, and culinary integrity, I strongly a

Absolutely NOT recommended. We went to this restaurant on a Sunday night. Atmosphere was nice when we walked in the restaurant as it faces the harbour. However, nothing worth appreciating except the view. Food is just average. I don’t feel anything special on the highly-rated Peking duck. There are other better options for good Peking duck with this price range. Other food are also disappointing. Flavor and the dish feel separated. Worst part is the service. The waiter who served our table is constantly disturbing customers (not only our table but also the tables nearby) while dining. We wanted to talk but he kept interrupting with his “friendly” small talk, which he talked loudly and is SUPER ANNOYING. I don’t understand why we cannot enjoy our food peacefully at this price range. To be honest the food is pricy, I am not saying we need a 5-star hotel service but at least please give a little bit privacy to your customers. This is a really UNPLEASANT experience to dine in here. Do NOT come to this restaurant if you want to talk to your friend/family peacefully.

I ordered mapo tofu and xiao long bao as I was one person for the meal. Mapo tofu was nice, not very spicy and the beef in the dish was not a cheap frozen one, can taste decent beef. Each Xiao long bao size was considered big and the staff was very kind. Good!

Had a fantastic dinner here, having found it on Google Maps with no previous recommendations or booking but still able to snag a solo table right next to the window, with amazing Victoria Harbour views. The maître d’ (possibly also the owner or manager?) was very warm and hospitable from my arrival to departure, despite me having no booking, and my Chongqing chicken main was everything I hoped for and more - perfect level of spice and plenty of chicken to dive in for amongst the dried chilies. On the pricier side, but worth it for the food, service and views. Would happily return.

Food was good but could be spicier (the chef was accommodating in making the dishes spicier). They also serve Peking duck. The fried rice was a standout. The sichuan chicken was crispy and a little yeet hei but worth it. Very good hospitality from the host. There are seats for the Harbour view as well.
