Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

Bakehouse has hands down the best egg tart I’ve tried in both Hong Kong and Macau. Koi Kei Bakery is a close second, but Bakehouse is still my favorite. What I really like is that it’s not overly sweet, which is perfect for my palate. The pastry is flaky and has just the right amount of crunch, so you get that nice texture with every bite. We liked them so much that we ended up buying a whole box. Then when we went to Tung Chung, we saw the Bakehouse there and bought another box, along with their limited Tung Chung item. I honestly didn’t expect to buy more egg tarts after already getting a box, but here we are. 😂

Quaint corner modernised with western pastries and their own version of HK's signature egg tart. It was busy in the morning, but the queue moved quickly. People sat and had their coffees and bakes along the street. While the egg tart was tasty, I found it a little sweet. Would've gone well with a black coffee. Came back, got their country sourdough and a few other bakes to snack on at the airport.

Always my go-to place for egg tarts whenever I visit HK! They’re consistently fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious. The queue is always long, but it’s definitely worth the wait. A must-visit every time I’m in the city!

This was on top of my to-go list when I planned my Hong Kong trip, and it did not disappoint! This specific location, while quaint, was very well-known so expect a line. In the two days that I purchased, there was always a line. 😅 Got egg tarts, an apple pie cookie, an almond danish, and something else with salted egg. Egg tarts were peak. Not too sweet, flaky, custard was buttery smooth. You can taste the sweetness and the eggs without either being overwhelming. I’d said it is such a perfect Asian dessert. The almond danish had a good texture - there’s crunch, there’s flakiness, and an understated flavor. The salted egg pastry is sooo rich. Took me two days to finish it, honestly. The apple pie cookie is unique and so delish. Highly recommend!

Finally got to try their famous egg tart — and it truly lives up to the hype. It’s warm, flaky, and melts on the tongue. We arrived to a long line, but it moved quickly thanks to their three payment counters. Ratings: 🥧 Egg Tart: 10/10 — perfection 🍩 Chocolate Donut: 6/10 — decent but not my fave 🥐 Croissant: 9/10 — buttery and satisfying Will definitely come back for more egg tarts as snacks in the next few days. Staff are friendly and very efficient. Great overall experience!
