Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Quite mediocre. The fried chicken was obviously not freshly fried, and everything was kind of bland. It felt like every thing was already cooked beforehand and just heated up again. Def much better Taiwanese food elsewhere

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at the authentic Taiwanese restaurant, Chan.Taiwan Cuisine, located in Wan Chai. The culinary experience was exceptional, and the prices were remarkably reasonable. Here's a highlight of the dishes we enjoyed: 1️⃣ 府城蝦卷 (Tainan Shrimp Rolls) 🍤🌯 These delectable shrimp rolls were a perfect balance of crispy texture and succulent shrimp, bringing a taste of Tainan to our palates. 2️⃣ 饞三寶 - 鹽酥雞滷肉飯 (Fried Popcorn Chicken with Minced Pork Rice) 🍗🍚 The crispy fried popcorn chicken paired with flavorful minced pork rice created a satisfying combination that showcased the essence of Taiwanese street food. 3️⃣ 台灣牛肉麵 (Beef Noodle Soup) 🍜🐄 The hearty beef noodle soup impressed us with its rich broth, tender beef, and perfectly cooked noodles. It was a comforting and authentic Taiwanese delight. 4️⃣ 凍三寶奶茶 (Sambo Milk Tea) with 珍珠、仙草、椰果 (Pearl, Grass Jelly, Coconut Jelly) 🥤🍮 This refreshing milk tea with a delightful combination of pearls, grass jelly, and coconut jelly provided a sweet and satisfying beverage to accompany our meal. 5️⃣ To complete our dining experience, we enjoyed the 熱桂圓紅棗茶 (Red Dates Tea with Longan) ☕🍡, a warm and comforting tea th

Ordered the Taiwan style fried chicken & minced pork, whereby chicken was far better than the latter. Food portion was quite sufficient. I wouldn’t say the dish was authentically cooked but tasted ok. Fairly priced.

Great Taiwanese noodles, wide variety. We tried the beef noodles and chicken noodles and both were soooo good👍🏻 . Taiwanese sausages was baked so well that it’s crispy on the outside yet juicy. Drink was nice too😋

- Fried Popcorn Chicken with Minced Pork Rice: Chunks of boneless chicken thigh were seasoned with garlic and basil, giving a fragrant herbal taste to the meat. After deep frying the chicken had a crispy coating and surprisingly not greasy, made them a good match with the meaty mixed pork rice 😍 - Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup : The original soup base was rich in flavor and had a little herbal meds kind of scent, which went well with the chewy sliced noodles. Generous amount of beef and tendon made the bowl a very filling and satisfying meal!
