Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

• Classic rundown HK cha chaan teng vibes, plastic cups that have lived a life • Egg sandwich was straight-up depressing… egg ratio and quality were crying for help • French toast locked till after 11am? Guess it’s a lunch item now • Rest of the menu might be fine, this place is just another quick in-and-out local joint

Visited this Cha Chaan Teng in Wan Chai with my colleagues for lunch. . We ordered the following dishes to share: -Steamed Pork Patty with Salted Egg Yolk Over Rice Dish (HKD60) The pork patty was tender and juicy, providing a nice contrast to the intensely salty egg yolk. The mixed-in egg whites added a subtle, interesting texture. It was much more appetizing when eaten with the rice. -Signature Fried Rice in Indonesian Style (HKD66) The fried rice was loaded with ingredients like char siu, shrimp, and dried fish. It had a slight spicy kick and excellent wok hei. Each grain was distinct, separate, and fluffy. -Braised Spare Ribs in Black Vinegar Sauce Over Rice Dish The pork ribs had a classic sweet and sour profile thanks to the black vinegar and sugar. However, they were a bit fatty. -Stir-fried Shrimp with Scrambled Eggs Over Rice Dish (HKD62) Topped with soft, glossy scrambled eggs and bouncy shrimp, the dish had a great umami balance. The sweetness of the shrimp paired well with the seasoned eggs, though the shrimp themselves were a bit small. -Chicken with Curry Sauce Over Rice Dish The chicken was ok, but not particularly memorable. -Milk Tea Definitely the MVP. It was

Was hosted here for breakfast. This is a traditional shop, with good noodles with luncheon meat/ fried egg. The milk coffee is great too

It's old school Hong Kong style diner. Had the French toast and HK style coffee. It's a fusion of the local adaptation of French rendition and milk coffee. Whereas other cha chasm teng shout and raise their voice at foreign guests, here the servers are patient and willing to explain in their limited English of the menu. Recommend to visit & have a taste of the local food.

Very crowded eatery cause it's legendary. Only know this place because of visiting Pici (Italian food), so only tried their milk tea. Did takeout. Definitely will comeback and tried their food. Though crowded but the service is very fast and kind. Their milk tea is definite HK original taste. Very good.
