When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 08:00–23:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 3643 0228. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, hoikonghk.com.hk.
It has a Google rating of 3.6 out of 5 from 1,372 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.
Sheung Wan is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Sheung Wan's Des Voeux Road West and Bonham Strand West are known for dried seafood, ginseng and herbal shops, which are busiest before Lunar New Year.

Popular among locals. Super busy on Sunday evening. Foods are solid good, to me - a non-local person. Recommend the fish dishes!

Recently renovated so it feels clean. Food is pretty good but service is average and definitely better towards their local long timers.

Lunch time is crazy busy, queues after queues so book and arrive early. Food is amazing!!! Super tasty, decent value for money, the environment is super loud, slightly cramped, chairs and floor quite oily and dirty. The decorations looks nice. The toilet is dirty but acceptable.

Food: Quite good. A lot of variety and the quality is okay. Service: Attentive staff. However, the serving speed is super duper slow. Perhaps during rush hours in the afternoon. Atmosphere: A bit boisterous in the main hall, but very nice and quiet in the private room.
