Don’t let the wall of celebrity photos fool you—this was easily the most disappointing meal at the hawker center. We visited as a group of five, and out of five different plates, only one was even remotely decent. The plain wontons were average at best, and the HK-style mixed noodles with beef were incredibly bland, seemingly seasoned with nothing but a blob of oyster sauce. The "infamous" stir-fry beef noodles lacked any depth, having only a faint hint of soy sauce and a very small portion of beef. Even the drinks were a letdown; both the HK milk tea and lemon tea were watery and tasteless. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

AVOID! TOURIST TRAP! Poor f&b quality, watery milktea, rubbish french toast = 2 basic HK items done poorly at higher cost. Live here 20yrs now, yes it used to be tasty here 15/10yrs ago… now avoid this!

The stir-fried beef flat noodle at this restaurant is really good, with a strong “wok hei”. In contrast, the satay beef noodles are relatively weak, and you can find better options in this market if that’s what you’re looking for. The buttered toast is nicely baked and fragrant, though it would be even better with more sauce. Their homemade chili oil is excellent. It’s definitely worth adding to your stir-fried noodles if you enjoy spice, you can really taste the smell of shrimp in it.

Friendly Service. Thick Butter Toast is a good small bite. They have great variety of traditional HK food options.

Hidden away from the busy tourist area of Tsim Sha Tsui is the Haiphong Road Temporary Cooked Food Hawker Bazaar. Inside, we found the Hung Kei Restaurant 鴻記茶檔. A hawker restaurant which serves traditional Hong Kong style food. Hand cut beef stir fly ho fan is worth a try. Friendly service and reasonable price. Check it out before this kind of second generation of hawker restaurant disappeared.
