Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

The fried and grilled skewers are both wonderful. The mochi, eel, beef tounge and cheese ball are my favorities.

Quite disappointed, food was mediocre. Not crowded on a weekday night, vibe was great. But they don’t even serve water when you sit down. A little weird. Portion is tiny, quite expensive

Kushikatsu and Kushiyaki We first had our Kushikatsu experience in Osaka and we fell in love with the dish. We are so happy to be able to find a good Kushikatsu place in Hong Kong. We highly recommend it. It's not greasy and the quality is comparable to the one we had in Osaka. They're not only selling kushikatsu, they also have kushiyaki and other dishes for appetizer, main, and dessert. For the kushiyaki, make sure to try the chicken meatballs. It's so good that we reordered it again. Kushikatsu: - Prawn - Salmon - Cheese - Pork - Black Truffle - Chicken & Shiso - Curry Rice - Lotus Root Kushiyaki - Beef tounge - Chicken meatballs - Bacon wrapped salmon Main - Yakisoba

Kushiage x izakaya 🏮 I actually have never tasted kushiage while I was in Japan. That was purely because everytime I wanted to eat I always happened to have a sore throat! This place has a very nice vibe, situated on the 2nd floor with 2 separate rooms and bar seatings. The lighting is a bit dim, which creates a cosy and izakaya atmosphere. I was seated in front of the chef who was preparing the batter and bread crumb for making kushiage 😌 Thoughts on the food? 💭✅Kushiage has a very nice crunchy texture and the food was fried perfectly. Not oily at all. Delicious! 💭✅ Yakitori was very good tasty too. Unlikely some places where the skewers were burnt, these were still juicy while serving. 💭✅ Sashimi was very fresh and thanks to the waiter for recommending us to fry the bone! What a way to finish a fish from head to bone with no waste! The only thing I would like to see is to have more selection of 🍺 Besides that, I think this is a good place for catchup and worth to pay a visit!
