About Jen Cafe

Jen Cafe is a café in Sham Shui Po, at 九龍塘尾基隆街102號. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
When choosing a café or dessert shop, look at whether prices are shown, whether plant milks or less-sweet options are available, and whether there is a time limit on seats. Many open seven days a week, but some small shops take a weekly day off; for cakes or large orders of pastries, calling ahead is the safest bet. If you plan to work or study in a café, check for power sockets and any seating time limit.
Opening hours: Mon–Fri 11:00–19:00, Sat–Sun 10:00–19:00. It opens every day of the week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has. More information is on its website, instagram.com.
It has a Google rating of 3.6 out of 5 from 188 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.
Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

I tried their strawberry matcha and it was very tasty and not too sweet. They have a good variety of matcha (at varying price points) and many artisanal matcha drinks. The cafe itself is super aesthetic. Didn’t order any food so can’t attest whether food quality is inconsistent. They accept cash/octopus/payme/visa and Mastercard (with credit cards only accepted above $350 spend).

One of the best piccolo. Long-lasting after taste blooms into sweetness in the end. Cake is moist. I'm learning what the bakers are trying to convey through this cream cheese, hojicha combo. Looking forward to more.

That's a georgous cafe with very yummy drinks, food and cake (forgot to take a photo of the cake though...) made from high quality ingredients. Staffs are very friendly as well. Truly worth the queue!

i was here for lunch with my friend, so i ordered a drink to sit and wait. after a while we ordered our lunch together, the staff reminded us as "two drinks minimum order". i was a little confused that 1) yes i've already ordered in my first round; 2) while my second round we ordered 2 food (proper lunch! not a snack) and 1 drink, if only looking at the second order, can't we qualified to be well spent customer? and why are their "rule" being so strict as "drink" but food not counted? considering this inflexibility, i don't think this is a good place to dine. imagine when kids are around, we might not be able to pick drinks per headcount but would have meals (more food!), so is it not welcomed again? we're completely confused to be honest. anyway, the signature bbq pork with omlette wasn't good, the pork is too thick and rough. it's just usual char-chaan-taan quality but it charges so much on top. overall we don't think any of its food quality and service match with our expectation. no return.

Jen Café was one of the most heartwarming stops on our trip. The food was great, but what truly made the experience special was the owner—so kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. You can feel the love and care not just in the dishes, but in the atmosphere too. It’s the kind of spot where you leave with a full stomach and a smile. If you’re visiting Hong Kong and want a place that feels personal and genuine, Jen Café is Helwa Approved without a doubt.
