When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Popular Japanese and Korean restaurants often take online bookings or queue tickets, and omakase counters usually ask for a deposit.
Opening hours: Mon–Sat 12:00–15:00 and 18:30–22:30, Sun closed. That makes 6 working days a week. Lunch and dinner are served in separate sessions with a break in between. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 6588 5354. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work.
Customers give it an average of 4.5 out of 5 on Google (311 reviews), a high score by any measure.
Kwun Tong is part of the Kwun Tong District in Kowloon. Kowloon is densely packed: Nathan Road runs north from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Prince Edward, lined along with its side streets by shops, restaurants and upstairs businesses, and most places are a few minutes' walk from an MTR station. Mong Kok's street markets, Sham Shui Po's electronics and fabric streets and Kowloon City's Thai restaurants are familiar landmarks for shopping and eating. Many Kwun Tong industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios; note the building name and floor, as access can differ in the evening and at weekends.

A peaceful place well-furnished, where every seat enables you to glance over the chefs, at the sushi bar or in front of the teppanyaki counter, putting the amaze in omakase. Every course was timed and toned, I like that there was a mix of chilled and hot dishes our chefs arranged for the night. The most impressive parts that made me savour still today: - Toro smoked with apple woods, and wrapped with grilled bonito crisp, perilla leaf, nori seaweed - The blushing hokkigai clam that was cooked in a very buttery sauce on its shell over the teppanyaki - Sushi omakase that's prepared right in front of you. My personal favourite must go to the crunchy Japanese lettuce-wrapped glazed amberjack sushi with tiny fish crisps, it was a one-bite wonder.
