Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. I visited Lan Fong Yuen for brunch in Tsim Sha Tsui to try a classic local Hong Kong breakfast. Since I don’t eat red meat, I ordered the chicken noodles with egg. The portion was very generous, and there were more noodles than I could finish. It was also a little too salty for my taste, but still a satisfying meal. The Hong Kong-style coffee was excellent, and I especially enjoyed the toast with butter. Adding a little syrup made it even better. Overall, it was a great experience trying a traditional local brunch in Hong Kong. If you’re looking for an authentic cha chaan teng experience, Lan Fong Yuen is definitely worth a visit.

Relatively affordable, incredible food, friendly staff, and lovely atmosphere. Went early in the morning, right when they open on a weekday, so there was an abundance of seats even when I left an hour later. The staff were pleasant too, you can easily strike up a conversation with them, even in broken Cantonese. They operate on a one drink per patron basis, and thank God for that — the beverages were incredible! The milk teas, cold and hot, deserve a special mention. The sugar is packed separately on the table for patrons to DIY, but we found that the milk teas didn’t even need anything extra, the taste was perfect when served already. The taste of tea was very fragrant, slightly stronger than the milk, which we all loved. It’s a strong contender for the best milk tea I’ve tasted in HK so far for sure. In fact, my father remarked that it tastes as good as what he had in HK 20 years ago. The HK-style red bean drink was tasty as well, just shy of tasting like Chendol if it had gula melaka added. As for the pineapple bun here, I can say with confidence that it was the best I’ve had in HK. The shell was crispy — as it should be 🙄 — and the milky, salty butter complemented the bread

Authentic Hong Kong food. Recommend travellers to read the non-picture just text menu before ordering, you will see other food & drink choices as well. It is convenient to have their most ordered food in pictures menu. Do note that some items are link to set meal which includes free items, fixed coffee or milk tea(request to use condensed milk if you prefer sweeter flavour in your coffee or tea), you can upgrade to other drink choice by paying additional. Food service in fast pace, less than 3 mins you will start receiving what you had ordered. Staffs are friendly even though they speak less English. Food taste is slightly toward comfort food, it is not very delicious but it is not terrible. Visited on weekday breakfast, 2pax, place is crowded.

Located at basement of the building, the location of the restaurant kinda inside of the building and at a corner near toilet, however, it was not difficult to locate the shop. The shop is small with quite a number of tables, hence won’t be difficult to have a seat. However, when peak hours, you will need to share table with other eateries. Staffs know simple English, and is attentive as they are standby around you most of time, especially after you just sit down. Food served fast. Simple menu but most of the food is tasty, including the pork chop bun and rice.

Famous spot and gets a lot of customers so expect to be seated with strangers if you're alone. Their spot was difficult to find. They're located in Heath Mall Basement floor. Food was good, nice to check this off the list of spots to try 😅 Fast service too!
