Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

Nice fluffy Japanese omelette with a very generous amount of mentaiko. The mentaiko was not too spicy or salty and did not overwhelm the egg. Sashimi & oysters was fresh and sweet (and quite theatrical), though the portion was on the small side. Yakitori chicken neck is flavourful, but could be more charred. The fried udon was soso, not really worth that price. But overall, the food is good. The place is quite lively and the manager is very energetic!!

Nice izakaya in Sham Shui Po area. There are a wide variety of items in the menu, with seasonal seafood for sashimi and other recommended dishes. Food quality is good. The decoration and atmosphere is like a Japanese local izakaya. The owner is very friendly and social with the customers.

We had a 3 persons dinner there. The vibe was good that you thought you were in Okinawa. The boss and staff were friendly and they would treat you cups of sake haha On the other hand, the food was great, we ordered a fish and it was fresh. Snacks were great and tasty. Although the location was not that convenient, you could still walk there from Sham Shui Po MTR station for 10 mins.

Hidden treasure in the community. A nice Izakaya with great variety of Japan food (sushi, yakitori etc). The price is a bit at the higher end. (Around $3xx per head for dinner) but it worths it for JP food lovers.

My colleagues and I found the quality to be surprisingly high, the flavors delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere iconic and cozy. One colleague described the fish so nicely, as though it had lived a "happy life." The location is convenient and not far from the MTR. We would gladly come back here and enjoy future meals. Lunch sets range from around $80-$130 HKD.
