North Point is part of the Eastern District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. In North Point the trams run right through the stalls of Chun Yeung Street market, and the area has many long-standing Fujianese and Shanghainese shops.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The overall environment was dirty, with rust visible almost everywhere. The shower stall looked oily and unclean, and the wall sheets were peeling off. There were no basic toiletries provided—no shampoo or body wash at all. The room also had a weird, unpleasant smell that made it hard to feel comfortable. The hotel still uses a storage water heater, which only offers about five minutes of hot water before turning cold. To make matters worse, I even found a cockroach in the room. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. Noise insulation was terrible; I could easily hear people talking in the hallway and even other guests showering in the adjacent rooms. The Wi-Fi signal was also very weak and unstable—it couldn’t even load YouTube properly. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable or hygienic stay. Definitely not worth the price.

Only good thing was that the location was near the MTR. Staff are rude and don’t speak english. They took 40 minutes to understand my request and it was to fix the lock in the bathroom. The room is extremely small and made me claustrophobic, same with the bathroom.

There's nothing positive about this hotel. Staff at welcome hall is unfriendly and takes way too long for the simpliest of tasks. Pictures on booking websites are misleading. In reality all parts of the hotel a very dark, trying to hide the dirt and the obvious rennovation needs. Room was small, but OK at first sight. However, windows are not sealing well, it got really cold during the night IN the room (January). Insects were crawling around, water leaked in the bathroom, no soap or shower ammenities are provided (though you can buy them for 10HKD per day) and room service did NOT bother to bring me new coffee cups even once during my 9 night stay. The walls are taped and I wouldnt be surprised if there is mold as well in some of the dark corners of the rooms, considering the water leakage. Because or the butcher next door on the wet market, the welcome hall had a horrible smell. On booking.com, the review feature has already been disabled for this hotel - trust me, there is a reason for the same. Even though it's a budget friendly option, don't go with it.

Our stay was extremely disappointing. We were given an insufficient number of towels, and the ones we did receive had holes. Housekeeping also didn’t replace the towels they took. There was barely any hot water, and we ended up taking multiple cold showers, which caused my family to get sick. The cleanliness was unacceptable — the bathroom and room smelled like a public toilet, and no hand soap was provided. We saw cockroaches outside the room, and one even ended up inside my toiletries bag. The beds were very uncomfortable, the fridge didn’t get cold, the safe didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. Staff were not helpful at all when we reported these issues. Security was also a concern, as anyone could walk into the building without restriction. I would not recommend staying here.
