I recently took my 7-year-old Ragdoll to see Dr. Daren Chiu due to an anal gland rupture, and unfortunately, it was the worst experience I've had with a veterinarian. From the moment we entered his office, Dr. Chiu exhibited unprofessional behavior. He had a scowl on his face and seemed visibly angry. Despite our warning that our cat can be skittish, he insisted on taking our cat out of the bag with force. When he struggled to handle our pet, he glared at us and blamed us for not administering gabapentin beforehand. However, this was an emergency situation, and we didn’t have the time to do so. Beyond his handling of our cat, Dr. Chiu provided no useful information about how to care for our pet’s condition. Instead, he focused solely on admonishing us about medication, coming across as childish rather than compassionate or professional. I left the clinic feeling frustrated and unhappy, without any guidance on how to help my beloved cat. I've also come across another review highlighting a misdiagnosis he made with a different patient, leading me to believe that such behavior is not an isolated incident. Our fourteen-year-old senior dog recently experienced a life-threatening medical emergency on a Sunday night. She had a pre-existing condition that caused her abdomen to become bloated. Unfortunately, our previous vet had misdiagnosed her, leaving us without conclusive answers despite multiple visits. Desperate for help, we reached out to various clinics, but they all turned us away, citing a lack of patient history. It seemed like time was running out. Incredibly reliable and efficient. Staff are professional and attentive. Brought my puppy here during a late night emergency at around 12-1AM and this was the only 24/7 clinic that was actually open all night and ready to help. Super grateful for the team here at Macpherson Animal Clinic. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a reliable 24/7 clinic for general appointments and emergencies.

I have been coming here for 2 years after a friend recommend it to me. It is far from home but I think it is worthy. In this last visit it took a bit less than an hour to get the vaccination for my dog. There were 3 other clients waiting and it seemed there was an emergency surgery so only one doctor available for vet appointments. The nurses are nice and the doctor was ok. I had a few questions about dental health and she kindly answered them but couldn't give me details on which brands I should use. The place is clean and I could wait sitting.
