About RETRO
Coffee Shop
RETRO is a café in Wan Chai, at 香港島灣仔謝斐道160號. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
When choosing a café or dessert shop, look at whether prices are shown, whether plant milks or less-sweet options are available, and whether there is a time limit on seats. Many open seven days a week, but some small shops take a weekly day off; for cakes or large orders of pastries, calling ahead is the safest bet. If you plan to work or study in a café, check for power sockets and any seating time limit.
Opening hours: Mon–Fri 08:00–18:00, Sat–Sun 09:00–19:00. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has. Its website is instagram.com, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.
It has a Google rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 268 reviews, a strong score that points to consistently positive experiences.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

They speak perfectly in English , very friendly stuff who take care of the customers. Place itself is very cozy , British style. One of the best coffee in my life for sure. I woke up super early, very sleepy face - one Americano here in this cafe made me to stay awake whole day in HK 😁 You are amazing guys - special hint: Try their black cappuccino.

RETRO Coffee Shop in Wan Chai is a tiny little gem—small, cozy, and the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming the moment you step in. The staff at the counter is not only super friendly (and yes, quite good looking 😄), but also genuinely warm and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. The coffee here is excellent—really good quality, smooth, tasty, and clearly made with care. They also have a few toast dishes that are simple but satisfying, perfect for a quick bite with your drink. The menu isn’t huge and there isn’t a lot of variety, but honestly, what they do have is done well. If you’re in Wan Chai and want a cozy spot with great coffee and a friendly vibe, RETRO is definitely worth a visit.

Loved the retro dining theme! This spot seriously had the BEST French Toast, made with brioche bread. The texture was like soufflé, and I absolutely adored the brûlée top! I also really enjoyed the Black Truffle Scrambled egg + Avocado open toast. The egg was super creamy and would order this again! The Dark Mocha made with 85% chocolate was very nice, and Blood Orange Soda Espresso aka Sunset was a nice combo. You order and pay first at the counter, and the waiter will bring you the food.
