Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Popular Japanese and Korean restaurants often take online bookings or queue tickets, and omakase counters usually ask for a deposit.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

($198) Curry beef tongue with smoked sirloin set The smoked sirloin was a little tough. The beef tongue in the main dish was mashed so it lacked the chewy texture I usually enjoyed. Indeed, I was disappointed because the menu didn't mention the beef tongue was mashed. ($143) Grilled eel rice bowl with Japanese rolled omelette The grilled eel and Japanese rolled omelette were up to standard. And the fried rice underneath was quite tasty. Both sets came with side dishes and miso soup, which were my favourite part of the meal. The egg rolls were nicely sweet and the cold tofu was well seasoned. Interestingly, the beef tongue served as a side dish was a whole thick chunk, wonderfully chewy and tender. The miso soup was flavourful without being overly salty. The atmosphere was dim and quiet for a weekday lunch, making it a romantic spot for couples. Since this was a discounted set, I would consider come back to try their other meal options if a similar deal is available.

The food is ok at best but it is extremely overpriced for what it is. I come from Seattle, one of the most expensive cities in the US, and it was more expensive than any comparable restaurant there. I paid 100 for a beer and left paying 300 for a beer and 2 single skewers.

An authentic Japanese restaurant - we were pleasantly surprised when my hubby tried to speak with the manager/owner/host in Cantonese and he said English only - that was pretty refreshing for a visitor like me who is non-Cantonese speaking. True to what the other reviewers say, it is on the pricey side. But the sashimi we ordered were fresh and the grilled tentacles tasted amazing. He even gave us extra free beer and soda drink. Nice and cozy upstairs sit-down dining area with a Japanese-style bar downstairs. Upstairs dining area is a bit of struggle for anyone with knee issues

The atmosphere here is so great, cosy space with dim light, a good place for chatting and enjoying the meal. The food tastes great, and the food served is really fresh. The snapper is seasoned with spicy sauce, which is surprisingly tasty. The oyster pot is so good. There are quite many oysters and the soup is so fresh. The egg is really cheesy and soft inside. Lastly, the seafood fried noodles are delicious with many different kinds of seafood. The texture of the noodles is good too. Really nice food in general.

- Sukiyaki set meal🍲 The set meal is generously portioned, with strong beef flavor and crunch. The bottom of the pot is covered with vegetables and vermicelli, which is even more delicious after absorbing the sukiyaki sauce. - Assorted Sashimi Don🍣 Their sashimi is quite fresh, especially the salmon caviar and salmon! The rice is soft and moderately soft, with a good balance of flavors. - Sesame Chicken Wings🍗 It looks beautiful like a fake🙈 The outside is fried crispy, with a sesame aroma, the chicken inside is kept tender and juicy, and it tastes not greasy at all.
