Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

They give a free glass of wine/sake if you give them a 5-star review. Food was alright - I would have expected more for a lunch omakase set that costs $498. The cockles in the chawanmushi still had sand in it, and wasn’t properly treated. The uni left an unpleasant aftertaste, and there was a tough tendon film that wasn’t removed in my otoro. There were some notable pieces like the sudachi scallop but even that couldn’t save the overall experience. THEY’RE CHEAPING OUT ON SPOTIFY! The ambience was alright but the background music was constantly jittering and we ended up listening to ads. They’re better being a family Japanese restaurant than trying to pose as Japanese fine dining. Better to take your money elsewhere.

First time omakase; was a great experience with occasionally unique pieces of sushi. Overall great family-run spot with a nice quiet atmosphere.

Interesting spot, if you like unique dishes this place is for you. I've eaten a lot of sushi but this place had stuff I've never tried before (some was a little too crazy for me). But the staff is very nice, cozy atmosphere and good place for a omakase.

A cozy Japanese spot in Wan Chai with a calm, authentic vibe. Tried the lunch Omakase and Sukiyaki set — fresh sashimi, perfectly seasoned sushi rice, and great balance overall. Loved the futomaki upgrade and the unique monkfish liver cream puff, rich and melt-in-your-mouth . Ended with light shaved ice . Excellent quality and value — a must-try hidden gem for sushi lovers!

Incredible omakase in an intimate venue! My husband and I are always on the lookout for date night restaurants and this one blew us away! Everything was delicious and meticulously prepared. The toro and uni were some of the best we’ve ever had and the tempura and cooked dish were also delicious. Their signature thick roll is a must try. Service was also thoughtful and friendly. Would highly recommend this place!
