The rooms were clean and the view of the city nice. Staff was very friendly. Location is top notch, right in the middle of Mong Kok, not far from the MTR red line, banks, restaurants and everything you need. You can definitely hear the city & its traffic, so you might want to bring earplugs if you have a light sleep. However, I would recommend the hotel to anyone who's a first time visitor to Hongkong.

Great location. Interesting place. Quite uniquely positioned as a stylish and clean budget friendly hotel. It’s a small hotel too. Cleaning was immaculate though there was initially a strange odor from the carpets. Loved the very cold air conditioning. I think the name " the beacon “ does not reflect well on the property image or highlights. It should be changed. Also they provide just one big bottle of water in the room. Maybe they knew that I was coming alone. Although they usually do not go through so much effort to check occupancy before housekeeping. It’s normally standardized. Usually people come as a pair. Anyway. Just my thoughts. Deposit required. HKD500 / night / room.
