Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

The liver was perfectly cooked, neither too hard nor too soft. You could choose your noodle type; I chose rice noodles, which were a little hard but well with the liver. The soup was flavorful and not too salty. The portion was quite large, almost overflowing the bowl, making it look rather unappetizing but I really liked it.

Came at an off peak time and staff were really helpful when I told them I couldn’t speak Cantonese. Gave me English menu and helped me to figure out the combi I wanted - Pork Liver & canned spicy pork noodles. Liver was well cooked but not too tough. Enjoyed this simple meal. Restaurant was mostly frequented by locals while I was here!

We wanted to rate this eatery three stars instead of two, but the overall experience is rather disappointing. Here’s what we ordered: Pork Liver Slices: The pork liver slices are cooked correctly and the timing is right on point, resulting the texture being smooth, soft, and tender while the natural liver odor is mildly reduced. Noodles: The rice vermicelli that came with the pork liver slices look and smell like they are cooked in plain pork liver water with zero additional flavouring, and the flavor is so stomach-churningly BAD that eating it is cruel and unusual punishment. Best to just pay the full price and ask them to skip the noodles. Kaya toast: Instead of being toasty on the outside with a soft interior, the “toast” is just soft and deflated.

Must try the famous pork liver noodles at Wai Kee. They only sell beef or pork liver (or other desert bread ) for the whole menu. I don't eat internal organs but my partner did.He said it's fresh and tasty. Can't find the same in Canada .The service is fast but deduct one star was the waitress sound too noisy. But we can accept because it's HK tradition style.

I used to like it when I dined here years back, but after 5 years, I feel that the standard has dropped. The portion of pig liver has reduced even though the overall bowl and quantity of noodles remained the same. Somehow the mouthfeel isn’t quite the same as before. The staff working there also seem to have changed so I’m not sure if that had any effect on the quality of food.
