Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

I used to like this place about 6 or 6,7 years ago, but now the food quality has gone down. Pork neck and fish cakes were very poor quality; we found hair in the fish cake, and there was no apology for the mistake. The atmosphere was very bland, with no music. I asked the staff if they could turn on music because the vibe was disturbing, and we didn't enjoy it. They said no music! Staff looked upset, with no friendly faces, and it seemed like they weren't happy to work there. Overall, it was a very bad experience, and I probably won't go back. To survive in HK, they need to improve many parts! There are many good Thai places in HK! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Saturday afternoon craving Thai food, went online and searched for somewhere new to try. Found this Thai restaurant that I’d never been to before, so I thought, why not give it a go? As soon as we walked in, you could really feel the Thai vibe. The decorations were very authentic, and the seating was extremely comfortable, which made the whole place feel quite cosy and relaxing. They had a Saturday lunch set for HKD75 per person, including a drink, which I thought was pretty good value. I ordered the beef rice set. The portion of beef was very generous, and the meat was incredibly tender. The only thing was there wasn’t quite enough rice to mix with the sauce, but overall it was still very tasty. We also ordered a laksa, and that was absolutely delicious as well. In total it came to about $150 plus service. Considering it’s in Wan Chai, that’s actually quite reasonable. I’d definitely say it’s worth trying if you’re in the area.

Food served here was liked a kinda Thai feel Cha Chan Ting with really inauthentic favour. Looks ok and tasted way below standard. nothing really liked any regular Thai dishes … The only take was their service with very smart floor staff.

Dinner at Sun Thai! we had this authentic dinner place for dinner, the environment looks very thai like and we also had a great dining experience! We ordered a few dish, first we had the boneless hainan chicken! the chicken was tender, and also including the spicy and hainan chicken sauce, the chicken is not too fatty and yet have a great flavor and tenderness! We also had the minced pork with lettuce! this signature thai style dish have a really good umai flavor and eating with the lettuce really balanced this dish! We then had the Sirloin steak thai style! This has a good combination of the steak flavor and the thai seasoning which makes it a great thai dish! beef is definitely tender, and also flavorful! We also had the short ribs, which comes with a different sauce, this one is the beef is juicy and have a good sweet and savory flavor! Lastly we also ordered the baby oyster omelette! It is crunchy on the outside yet tender on the inside. Oyster itself is also very fresh! Definitely recommended to come to this restaurant!

**Thai-Style Raw Shrimp – $118** Served sashimi-style, the raw shrimp is remarkably fresh and sweet, with no trace of fishiness — easing any concerns about hygiene. Each piece is topped with raw garlic and fresh chili, delivering a fiery punch that’s as addictive as it is intense. The natural sweetness of the shrimp contrasts beautifully with the sharp heat, creating a thrilling bite that lingers. **Minced Meat Lettuce Wrap – $88** A Thai dining staple, this lettuce wrap arrives with a generous portion of spicy minced meat and crisp, fresh lettuce leaves. The meat carries a noticeable heat that leans toward the spicier side for local palates, but wrapping it in cool lettuce tempers the intensity, offering a refreshing crunch. Plentiful enough for sharing, it brings both texture and heat to the table. **Thai Curry Beef with Roti – $108** Rich and comforting, this curry leans mild on the spice but deep in flavor. The beef rib strips are tender and plentiful — around eight to nine pieces — perfect for scooping with the accompanying Indian-style roti. The roti adds a crispy, flaky texture that complements the creamy curry sauce, making each bite deeply satisfying. **Thai Pineapple F
