Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

The cashier lady was extremely rude. It was a rainy day, and we wanted some hot soup, so we decided to visit this restaurant. When we went in, we politely asked whether we could sit at a particular table as it seemed warmer. Instead of answering nicely, she rudely replied, “If you want to sit, then just sit. That table is leaking.” She could have simply told us that the table was leaking and unavailable. There was no need to be so angry and rude. There was a slippery floor sign nearby, but we had no way of knowing whether it referred to the corridor or the table itself. We were simply looking for a warm place to sit, that’s all. The cashier completely ruined our day. Even after we made payment, she still looked at us as if we owed her money. The food was generally acceptable, and the lady who took our order was actually very nice and friendly (the complete opposite of the cashier). Unfortunately, because of the cashier’s attitude, the overall dining experience was unpleasant. 真的是气饱了! I’m sorry to say that we will not be returning anymore. We simply do not wish to encounter such unfriendly service/people again.

A very good cha chaan teng with reasonable price. We ordered the daily breakfast B ( instant noodles with satay beef with fried egg, ham, bread and coffee) and C (rice vermicelli with shredded pork and pickled cabbage in soup with fried egg, bread and hotdog), the satisfying breakfast ( pork chop with bread, egg and hotdog) and the delightful breakfast (wheat porridge and sandwich). The restaurant has a nice ambiance and it is located at Lee Tung lane in Wanchai.

Food is really just average. I had their wanton noodles with hot lemon tea. I found the noodles a tad salty and taste wise, it was really just average. Staff service was pretty poor as they were busy. The restaurant has good ample seating areas inside and outside, and it’s well located just close to Wan Chai MTR.
