Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Great coffee, great food, great street... Totally lack of friendly service unfortunately. This would be a 5 star place if you just got a smile

what happened to this place??? Used to love coming here — the americano actually had flavor, like you could taste the beans, not just burnt water. We came back today and wow… total letdown. Coffee tasted straight up nasty. Watery, bitter, zero complexity. Service? Ice cold and lowkey rude. Vibes were completely off too — messy tables, just not it. Honestly, zero stars across the board. If you knew this spot back when it was good, don’t even bother coming back. It’s like a whole different place now, and not in a cute way. So sad to see it fall off like this. Never coming again. 💀

Maybe better to reserve a table when you are more than 2 people. The brunch is really good and you can make your own composition for the toasts or salads, but the price is not always fully worth it and it’s a bit expensive for the quantity served

Absolutely unacceptable service. It was one of the worst customer service experiences we have had. The café was nearly empty, with only two to three customers in the entire shop, so there was absolutely no excuse for the staff member’s attitude. When we arrived, we were completely ignored and had to find our own seats. After about 30 to 40 seconds, the staff member came over, looked at us, and made an audible sound of annoyance. He then slammed the menu onto the table beside us without saying a word. A few moments later, he brought us two glasses of water and placed them on our table with unnecessary force. From the moment we entered, we were treated as though our presence was a nuisance. The staff member’s attitude was openly rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. We were so upset by the way we were treated that we left immediately without ordering anything. We had visited this café many times before and had always enjoyed the food and coffee. However, after this experience, we will not be returning, nor will we recommend this place to anyone. Unless you enjoy being treated with complete disrespect, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere.

Can tailor your toast and salad to whatever you want. Best deal to get the 4 toppings sourdough so you don’t have to add on $ for premium toppings
