Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

If you are looking for a meal that delivers both top-notch quality and great value, this place is a must-visit. Every single dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The absolute star was the mini burger. The beef patty was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, while remaining incredibly juicy and flavorful on the inside. The seasoning was spot on! They are currently running a fantastic promotion featuring unlimited refills for selected starters and main courses, which is an amazing deal. For steak lovers, you also have the flexibility to pay a little extra to upgrade to other premium cuts of steak. The bill came out to around HK$750 per person. Given the outstanding quality of the food and the generous free-flow option, it is worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Beefbar — A Weekend Brunch Worth Setting Your Alarm For Beefbar's weekend brunch is one of those experiences that fully justifies its one Michelin star — and then some. Available only on weekends and public holidays, this is a brunch worth planning your week around. The format is generous and indulgent: unlimited servings across the first course, second course, and main course. The only catch — once you move on to the next course, there's no going back, so pace yourself and order strategically. Every dish we tried impressed, but a few absolutely stole the show. The mini burgers were ridiculously good — perfectly juicy, beautifully seasoned, and dangerously easy to keep ordering. The pasta was equally memorable: rich, comforting, and executed with the kind of finesse you'd expect from a Michelin kitchen. And of course, the steak — tender, full of flavour, and a reminder of why Beefbar built its reputation on beef in the first place. A practical tip: arrive early. Last seating is 1pm and last food order is 2:30pm, so the earlier you settle in, the more time you have to truly enjoy the unlimited rounds without feeling rushed. What elevated the experience even further was the serv

Price + expectation from a 1 star Michelin does not match. The interior is old school + a bit run down. The unprofessionally attached clear glass between the sink + the pissoir sort of sums it up. If you don’t care about the details you usually can’t deliver. Amuse Bouche - still don’t know what it was as very fast + unclear explanation. Slider - interesting, good texture, tiny. Chateau Briand - was a bit surprised about the actual cut of meet. Flavour was good but the peppercorn sauce was overpowering, whilst the bernaise lacked a kick. Fries were yummy but not exceptional. No petit fours with the coffee (not a must but usually a standard nice touch in and half way high end restaurant) Staff was nice and sommelier was knowledgeable but not sure if a bottle still wrapped in plastic makes for a good look. Outside bar is nice but no staff there - need to join you from main floor. Seating at the bar is cheap + too mixed for a high end place. Is it worth a visit with other high end steakhouse choices in Hong Kong? I would say no, but you may want to try to say you’ve been there…

The food was great, nothing more to say about that. One of the top 5 steaks in Hong Kong for sure. As for being a place to come, it's set up more for business people bringing high end clients. The prices are higher than any of the other top 5 steak places. The burger had the best bun I've had in Hong Kong (softness and flavour of the bread).

This restaurant is very good, but didn’t quite meet my expectations as one Michelin star restaurant. The service was impeccable and the entrees and cocktail I had were beyond satisfactory. However, I was underwhelmed by the ‘Burger Bomb’ that I ordered. The burger was above average but didn’t blow my mind the way a $480 HKD burger should and the presentation was pretty ordinary. The venue is well presented although the washroom was pretty subpar for an upmarket establishment. If I was to return I would try a different main course.
