Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

During the recent Member Shopping Days, we purchased six boxes of peaches from the store. Cha Cha and Tan Jie Ha were exceptionally friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our visit. They carefully packed the boxes and fitted them with protective covers, ensuring that the peaches could be carried home safely and without damage. Their assistance gave us complete confidence in making such a substantial purchase. What impressed us most was not merely the practical help they provided, but also their warm attitude and genuine concern for the condition of our purchases. Their service transformed an ordinary shopping trip into a particularly pleasant and reassuring experience. Because of the exceptional service provided by Cha Cha and Tan Jie Ha, we have decided that, in future, we will purchase our peaches specifically from the city’super Times Square store. Their professionalism and friendliness have earned our trust and loyalty.

Portion is ridiculously small for the price, most of the two pieces of chicken were bone. Noodles were bland and had no flavour and one and a half potatoes? Come on

city’super in Times Square is easily one of the best supermarkets to visit in Hong Kong if you care about quality and variety. It’s the kind of place where even a quick grocery run turns into a fun browse, because every section is packed with premium options and imported goodies. The fresh seafood area is a standout—everything looks clean, well-presented, and genuinely fresh, with plenty of choices depending on what you’re cooking. The cheese selection is also impressive, ranging from everyday favorites to more specialty picks, and it pairs perfectly with their strong wine section. If you enjoy putting together a simple cheese-and-wine night, this is a dream stop. Another big plus is their Japanese products—snacks, seasonings, drinks, and cooking staples that are sometimes hard to find elsewhere, all nicely organized so you can easily grab what you need. And beyond that, you’ll find so much more across international groceries, ready-to-eat items, and household essentials. Overall, city’super Times Square is a top-tier supermarket: fresh, well-stocked, and perfect whether you’re shopping seriously or just want to treat yourself to high-quality food.
