Tasty breakfast sets at very affordable prices. ($37) Shredded chicken rice vermicelli in tomato broth This set came with toast and scrambled eggs. The toast was crisp and well-buttered. The tomato broth was rich in texture and flavour. The rice vermicelli absorbed the soup nicely, making each bite delicious. Comparatively, the shredded chicken is just average. ($39) Seared Chicken Breakfast set Served with egg salad and toast. The seared chicken was executed well - crispy skin on the outside and juicy meat on the inside. The tomato on the side was juicy and sweet, as if it had been soaked with honey. The only downside was that the salad is a bit too salty due to the dressing. For drinks, we ordered hot coffee and hot lemon water. The lemon water was spot on! Unlike lemon water at other places that tend to be overly bitter or sour, this one had mild citrus tang that made it a good palate cleanser at the end of the meal. However, there seemed to be a shortage of waiters. They made us wait when we were ready to take order. This also led to mix-ups, like giving us items we didn't order. Given how tasty and budget-friendly the food was, the service hiccups were still acceptable.

I tried their breakfast and lunch a few times. It’s reasonable and sometimes they will give you some surprise too.

Canteen 47 is a real haven for comfort food, catering to both carbs suckers and healthy folks on keto. Their menus feature keto/ protein/ skewers/ Japanese donburi elements. My friends often have gym sesh nearby, and this is the place to indulge after all the grinds. We picked one keto choice and the other with carbs. Very tender steak on roasted ratatouille was served with a red packet of crushed pistachio, I like that it's free to upgrade from salad to roasted veggies cos we Asians love our greens being cooked. The signature 8-inch donburi was a champion. There were a bunch of grilled & honey glazed protein: very juicy, caramelised, meaty, and made me drool. The bowl looks like heaven to me cos there's also an onsen tamago in the centre. Literally my weakness, I couldn't resist finishing the entire bowl.

This was a restaurant decorated like Japanese style. There were booth seats installed with higher partitions to cope with the anti-virus spreading requirements. Waitresses were friendly, and service was satisfactory. Quality of food was generally fine. Pork chop was well enough for a meal, but not so soft as before. Grilled vegetables and salad were attractive. Fresh clam soup with used for cooking noodles with other meat. But adding a bowl of clam soup was not worthwhile since there were only two clams in the soup. Coffee was freshly brewed. Iced milk tea and iced coffee were prepared in plastic bottles and were not so sweet. Drinking water was self-service. Price was higher than the previous restaurant operated in the same building but still average. There were two sinks outside the toilets just for washing hands. Electronic payment was accepted.
